Leeroy Jenkins re-imagined as a short film

The WoW legend of Leeroy Jenkins re-imagined as a heist film. I predict a high probability of success.

The Dark Knight, with just the Joker

The Dark Knight edited down to just the shots where the Joker is the only character in frame. Best magic trick ever.

Neil Gaiman writes a one-page comic for some lucky guy to get tattooed on his back
Burton Olivier, a fan of novelist and comic book writer Neil Gaiman, wanted a special tattoo to cover his back, so he reached out to Gaiman to create one for him. Gaiman agreed, if Olivier would make a contribution to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Gaiman hired comic book artist David Mack to make the visual design, then composed the following poem:

I will write in words of fire. I will write them on your skin. I will write about desire. Write beginnings, write of sin. You’re the book I love the best, your skin only holds my truth, you will be a palimpsest lines of age rewriting youth. You will not burn upon the pyre. Or be buried on the shelf. You’re my letter to desire: And you’ll never read yourself. I will trace each word and comma As the final dusk descends, You’re my tale of dreams and drama, Let us find out how it ends.

Neil Gaiman’s amazing keynote address to the University of the Arts class of 2012

If you are in any sort of artistic or creative field, or you aspire to, you absolutely need to watch this video. Or if you just like Neil Gaiman. Or if you’re not a heartless bastard. Okay, that last part gets rid of most of you… including me. Damn.

Watch the fan-written Doctor Who mini episode “Good as Gold”

Back in January, BBC Learning in collaboration with Blue Peter announced this year’s Script to Screen competition. Launched by the Doctor himself, the challenge was simple. Schoolchildren aged 9-11 should write a short Olympics-themed script full of the usual Doctor Who ingredients including humour, drama and a touch of magic!

There was a huge response to the competition and Doctor Who’s Executive Producer, Caroline Skinner, praised the quality of the entries, saying: ‘We loved reading all of the scripts from schools across the UK and the standard of entries was truly outstanding. It was a difficult, but a tremendously fun task to choose a winner and it was just brilliant to see so many children being creative in developing an adventure for the Doctor. We hope all fans enjoy this special one-off mini episode!’
